Samaritan on Air (I'n'I 107.9fm)

Updated: Sep 5, 2019

Any excuse for a trip to Fremantle is a good excuse; but last night was a little bit special as EnQue were invited to Radio Fremantle (107.9fm) by Corby Howell aka DJ Corby, to promote our single - Samaritan.

Live radio can be a bit daunting, as not only do you need to be careful with your P's and Q's, but you are also aware that there a listeners from across the globe tuning in to the show.

Everything you plan to say goes out the window as soon as the red button turns green - and we are live!

We got to discuss the inspiration for the song, and the real world issues that [it] addresses, such as homelessness and domestic violence. At the end of the day, it speaks of love and hope, and standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, and speaking out for those who's voices are silenced.

We also got to talk about the future of EnQue, and where we see the band headed. At the moment it is all about creating a fresh sound, and original music, with lyrical intent.

The single was well received, and was even played twice for good measure, with positive comments streaming in live during the session. (This is where we have to mention a young man who was drumming along to the song and said he really liked it - thank you Okie (hope that's spelled correctly!)

It was a wonderful belated catchup with the lovely Sista Corby, and we look forward to returning to the studio to share more of EnQue's original music with her soon.

Let us know what you think of the single, as we would love your feedback. Drop us a line here, or go to our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Enquebandperth to leave a review!

Blessings from us
